I am J.usharani doing my postgraduation in computer intergrated manufacturing(CIM). sir ,i am doing my project on prediction and failure analysis of bonded stiffened T-joint subjected to pull load.sir, actually aim of the project is to find out the amount of strength/failure in out-of-plane .in T-joint the failure will be in fillet region.so , my aim is to predict the failure in this load transferred in out-of-plane.most of the criterions used like Tsai-hill,Tsai-wu are of in-plane but i am concentrating in out-of-plane.sir, am using HYPERMESH7.0 software for pre-processing and post-processing and ABAQUS6.7 for processing.sir,
1. actually how to interface the C language written to ABAQUS.
2. while writting the program what parameters to be considered related to out-of-plane failure criterion,or
3. is it possible to get the program of Tsai-hill/Tsai-wu failure criterion.


sir, please help me to solve this problem.

My recomendation is to start with an easy material and failure model. That way you will learn how the run the calculations effectively. I would not recommend that you start writing any user-subroutine in C or Fortran.

Once you got the basic (simplified) problem under control, then you can start improving the accuracy by using a more appropriate failure model, etc.
