Dear Jorgen Bergstrom ,
I am looking for a costitutive model for PET above glass transition temperature. I foud that Prof M C Boyce had proposed a glass-rubber constitutive model for PET above the glass transition. I think this constitutive equation is suitable for injection stretch blow molding. I tried to use this constitutive model in ISBM simulation. however, I am a new learner in ABAQUS. It will take me much time to intergate this model into ABAQUS with UMAT.
My question is : Dr Jorgen Bergstrom, is there any existed UMAT for Boyce model that I can use freely?

Hello yzsong,

I am very familiar with the PET model that you mention. Unfortunately, I do not think that this model is freely available. Integrating any material model into a UMAT takes time and effort, and there are currently very few models that have been impletemeted as UMATS and that are freely available.

If you want to use this PET model -- which works very well -- you basically have two options: (1) implemented it yourself as UMAT, I can give some advice to you if you want to go ahead with this; or (2) hire someone to implement the model for you. I would certaintly be willing to do provide you with robust and efficient implementation of this model, but I would have to charge for this effort.

Send me a private message if you want to discuss.
Jorgen
