element deletion/Nucleation

Hi all,
1-I want to know about, nucleation module. Meaning, Effects and how to Introduce it in model.
2-I used an existing behavior model in abaqus.It is evolving Element Deletion. I used the same material in other problem , with different BC.But there's no element deletion.I ndicatided
*Shear failure,type=Johnson Cook, Element deletion=yes
d1,d2,d3,d4,d5
but I hav'nt seen any element deleted.What's wrong?

Hello Imed,

1) Nucleation module, hmm, I am not sure I'm familiar with that. Can you explain more about what you are referring to.

2) The element deletion features should work fine. Have you checked that you didn't receive warning messages and that the failure condition has been triggered?

1)For the nucleation module, Personnaly I have learned this in a recent paper.The author said that he entered a nucleation module in his model using ABAQUS Explicit 5.8? I'm still looking about.
2)For the elemnt deletion ,I wondering if ABAQUS/Explicit permits automatic element removing from the block.Some elements in my model were desactivated (Stress was set to zero, Status =0) but were not removed.They are distorded so much and this make the model looks incorrect even if values are correct. So I'm looking for a way to remove these elements flagged with Status=0. (Status=1 -->active element). I 'm using this commabd to see element status :
