Queue or system filesize limit exceeded

Hi

When I submit a job it stops after some time I think its to do with
limited space available on the scratch. error message is

ABAQUS Error: The executable /software/abaqus/abaqus6.4-1/6.4-
1/exec/standard.x
aborted with system error "Queue or system filesize limit exceeded"
(signal 31).

I am only interested in the .odb file where the results are, but
abaqus creating very large files like .mdl and .stt which are no use
to me. Is there any way I could suppress unwanted files?

It is not much you can do about that. You can reduce the size of the odb-file by selecting what is saved. You can also tell ABAQUS to not create a dat-file or a res-file, but these files are often not that large.

Unfortunately, I think the two best options for you is to either reduce the size of the FE mesh, or to run it on a computer with more disk space.
