EL PRINT or NODE PRINT COMMAND RESULTS IN .DAT FILE - ABAQUS

Hi;

I am using the uhyper subroutine to evaluate material models with various experiments in ABAQUS. When I NODE PRINT or EL PRINT the selected sets of results into the .dat file, I find that the stress components do not have any decimals. However, if I query the results within the CAE module I can see the decimals for the same stresses. Do you know why this might happen? Do you have any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem?

Hi Roaneb,

That sounds very peculiar. The output from the *Node print and the *El print commands should be the same as what you get from CAE/Viewer. I have not heard about that problem before, and it sounds like an ABAQUS bug :(

FYI, I have stopped using the *Node print and *El print commands. Instead I save everything of interest to the odb-file. To get that data I then either use CAE or run ABAQUS python. ABAQUS these days enable you to extract data from the odb-file using a script written in python, which is a nice programming language!
