I just uploaded a pdf-file (isotherm8chain.pdf (http://polymerfem.com/polymer_files/isotherm8chain.pdf)) that discusses the eight-chain model of rubber elasticity, the theory behind the model and its implementation. The eight-chain model has been shown to successfully model the large strain multiaxial deformation behavior of elastomeric materials. The eight-chain model is also used to represent the underlying network response in different visco-plastic models of polymers.
