Error message: Too many attemps are made for this step

The job quit with error: Too many attemps are made for this step.

I am modeling composite, this error occurs when the young's modulus of fibers are much larger that of the matrix. If I reduce E of fiber, the job will be finished without error.

Does anybody know what can I do to make it run?

1. If what you are saying is true, then its your mesh that is causig problems, because the quantities across the domain are not continuous. Reduce your mesh size and try to run again.

2. If your own perception is just a guess, I would say check for Jacobian consistency.

I have successfully modeled Carbon Nanotube reinforced polymer composites where the modulus of CNT was 400 times that of matrix.
