Hi,
I am new to ABAQUS and I'm modelling compression of golf balls. I have ran various linear elastic models fine (both loading and unloading) however when running with viscoelastic properties ABAQUS abort the job with "time increment is less than minimum specified".
The model has a elastic cover (E=400MPa v=0.45) with a viscoelastic core and is compressed by displacing an analytically rigid plate. It runs fine with small displacements but aborts when I increase the displacement (to 10mm, ball radius being 21.4mm). My g_i Prony = 0.4 and tau_i prony = 0.04 but im not sure what I should set k_i prony to (I am using time domain)??
Any help or tips on where to look in the documentation for help would be greatly appreciated.
