Adhesion forces between two parts

Hey I'm trying to model adhesion forces between two parts. A rigid flat plane, and a deformable sphere.

How can this be done in CAE.

Please explain it in a simple way, since I'm a rookie:confused: with Abaqus

I am working with similar problem. You can model the adhesion with nonlinear springs, cohesive elements, using Python scripting or user subroutine. Use what ever you find it easy for you to learn. i will be happy if we can chat more about this problem

I'm trying to model nonlinear spring between two points. At first i model the axial connector, then inter the nonlinear tabular relationship between force & displacement, but it doesn’t work. I solve the problem by different loads, but displacement result remains linear. Why?. I desire that the response of the problem be nonlinear.

How can this be done in ABAQUS/CAE?

Please explain it, Its essential for me during this day
