Hello there,

I am new here, and currently running a project on FEA of kyphoplasty treatment on lumbar spine. I need to run a dynamic loading with sine curve representing the magnitude along the time, however, I have never run a dynamic loading before, and tried several times. Will any of you can give me any suggesting?

BTW, do I have the choice to history output von Mises or Strain energy density?

Thank you all.

You should be able to apply a sinusoidal force history using the *CLOAD or *DLOAD commands, and also specifying an *AMPLITUDE command.

And yes, you can output the von Mises stress.

As long as my model doesn't have any non-linear or time-depedent property, can I just choose "Static, General" step instead?

I am thinking of define a sine-wave amplitude to represent the changing load, but I just can't get the history output for each increment. Could any of you give some comment on this?

Thanks a lot!!
