How introduce weak element in ABAQUS

I need to introduce weak element in ABAQUS, that is to say, an element should be chosen and attribute weak properties to it, for example, set the elastic modulus or initial yield stress is lower than others
Is anybody can tell me how could I do this, thanks!

I don't quite understand, can you not simply assign "soft properties" to the desired elements.

You can create an element set in CAE, and then apply the desired material parameters to that set.
