I am modeling Machining of Carbon nanotube-Polycarbonate composites and I need to use cohesize elements at the polymer-CNT interface.

I have ABAQUS 6.7 for my use and it appears to support Cohesive elements. I have two different traction-seperation curves (obtained from literature) that I want the cohezive elements to mimic.

My question is: What's involved in assigning user defined traction-seperation laws to cohesive elements at the interface?

I would appreciate any input on this since I am new to ABAQUS!

Thanks

I suggest that you read Section 27.5.6 in the user's manual.

Thanks Jorgen for the suggestion. I will look into this.

Actually, I am continuing the work what Ashu did on machining PC based CNT composites, by relaxing the assumptions of his model. He's the one who suggested this egroups..

Thanks again for the suggestion!

Sounds good. Best of luck.
