Hi everybody.
I´m doing some tests in order to evaluate the behavior of an elastomeric material. I used a hyperelstic material(it has a huge elongation, i´m interested in something like 3 times the initial length)with solid elments and a general static step.Unfortunately the process is always aborted due too many attempts somewhere in the simulation.
Can someone give me some suggestions to avoid this problem??
thank you.

You should be able to reach an engineering strain > 300%.

A few things to check:
- do you get large distortions?
- do you use a stable hyperelatic model?

Hi Jorgen,
thanks for your answer.
I´checked that you suggested me.
I have large distorsions and a stable hyperelastic material.
What can I do??

thank you.

If the elements are heavily distorted, then that is likely the cause of your convergence problems. You can attempt to adjust the FE mesh in order to improve the convergence, or perhaps use an automatic remeshing approach.
