The Center for Advanced Engineering Fibers and Films (at Clemson University) has released a free version of FISIM Software (Fiber and Film Simulation Model) for both industry and academia. Polyethylene, polystryrene, polypropylene and nylon 6.6 are all available for immediate download and use. By early December we will have added an improved version of the draw model, a filter model, and a blown film model.
We are partially funded by the NSF as an Engineering Research Center.
Just go to www.caeff.com and then take the link to Polymer Process Model for registration.
Good luck,
